Reinforcing your sense of self and empowering hope

Welcome

You may have found your way to this website because you’re considering starting therapy, or perhaps you’re here out of curiosity and unsure where to begin. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but I’m here to support you in gently exploring what has brought you to this point.

You may be feeling anxious as you navigate something unfamiliar, or experiencing sadness from feeling lost, disconnected from your sense of purpose, or unsure of who you truly are. If this resonates with you, you’re in the right place.

How can I help?

You may be wondering how talking therapy can help. As a psychotherapist based in Cambridge, I offer a space where you can speak openly and be listened to with care, within a safe and non-judgemental relationship. Being able to talk in this way can ease some of the emotional pressure you may be carrying when left unspoken; it can begin to feel overwhelming and leave you feeling disconnected from yourself or your sense of direction.

As you explore my website, you’ll find more information about how I work and my therapeutic approach. This may help you get a sense of whether therapy could support you in finding greater clarity, balance, and a feeling of being more like yourself again.

What happens next…

In my practice, I work using a psychodynamic approach. I offer a free 20-minute consultation, which gives us an opportunity to briefly explore what has brought you to therapy and how I may be able to support you.

We would then arrange a 50-minute assessment session, allowing us to explore your difficulties in more depth and to consider together whether psychodynamic therapy feels like the right approach for you. This session also allows us to begin getting to know one another.

If, following the assessment, we agree to work together, we will begin weekly 50-minute therapy sessions, which are an essential part of the psychodynamic framework. Therapy can be offered on a short-term, long-term, or open-ended basis, depending on your needs.

You can find more information about psychodynamic therapy in the ‘My Approach section of this website.
