I will only collect data necessary to provide the service and ensure to provide you with helpful information and support. I operate in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations GDPR (2018), and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Your personal data will be used to respond to enquiries, provide information about my psychotherapy services in private practice, arrange consultations, and organise an initial assessment.

If therapy proceeds following the assessment, all client information is treated as strictly confidential. Contracts are completed digitally using secure online systems. All electronic information is processed through password-protected and encrypted platforms.

Any handwritten notes are anonymised and stored securely in locked storage.

Client records are retained for a period of seven years in line with professional and legal requirements, after which they are securely destroyed.

All sessions with clients under the age of 18 are protected in the same way. Communication regarding the client will take place through their parent(s) or legal guardian(s). Information from sessions will only be shared with consent from the client, where appropriate.

Confidentiality will only be broken if there is a concern that the client is at risk of harm, in line with safeguarding and legal responsibilities.

Information from sessions may be discussed in clinical supervision, which supports safe and ethical practice. Any information shared with my supervisor is anonymised, and clients are not identifiable
